CHEQUE PAYMENTS (POSTAL ORDERS)
We only accept those for customers within the United Kingdom, and will get cheques cleared with the bank before sending your order to you.
Can be to any address within the United Kingdom, as well as some countries in the European Union, America, Canada and Australia. The company has the right to select which countries to send orders to and can at anytime refuse to send a parcel to anywhere in the world.
We mainly use Royal Mail and send by First Class delivery.
When you add products to your Shopping Basket, a delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order. While every effort will be made to affect deliveries and maintain prices quoted the Company has the sole right to vary prices and deliveries.
Because of the Royal Mail charges started in April 2016 whereby the size of the parcel affects the cost of the parcel as well as its weight, it is difficult to access now how much a parcel will cost to send to you. If the parcel is heavier than calculated on this website OR its size makes it categorised as a MEDIUM SIZED PARCEL by Royal Mail's measurements then we will increase the postage initially charged for on your pending order to cover the correct cost of sending you the parcel. We will email you about this first to see if you wish to go ahead with the order. Please note we update the postal charges after April each year when we know the new charge rates.
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and the company shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.
The company (The Daily Grind: Coffee & Tea Merchant) shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
PLEASE NOTE that we CANNOT ACCEPT coffee that we had previously ground for you, if you choose the incorrect grind during the order process, neither will we replace opened coffee/tea packs. The goods should be returned with their original box, packing and accessories.
Any refund, which is due to a fault or other defect, will include a refund of the applicable delivery charge. Please contact us via our CONTACT FORM. This returns policy does not affect your legal rights.
Cancellation of Orders
You are able to cancel your order prior to shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if monies have already been taken. You can cancel an order by following the links on this website, or by phoning us on 07563648647. However should we have sent your order before you have informed us then you will be unable to cancel and we will not give any refunds unless the order is returned in the same condition as sent out to you and you are responsible for the cost of postage.
We aim to process all orders taken before 2pm and send for delivery the same day unless we need to contact you regarding your order, and depending on how busy our shop is on any particular day.
