My Daily Grind: Coffee and Tea Merchant business is registered with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and after being inspected by the food safety officer is considered as 'Exempt' from needing a Food Rating
I have had an interest in loose leaf tea and coffee products for a few years and started trading in August 2012, when I had a small area in my parents' shop, Pantiles Bookshop and Papertole, in the historic Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
At the end of their lease the shop ceased trading, and with the help of my parents, I moved to Goudhurst as owner of Goudhurst Books and The Daily Grind Coffee & Tea Merchant, a unique, independent shop that opened in September 2015, but ceased trading in April 2017 due to poor footfall.
Since that time I have been selling my packs of teas, coffees and accessories at local Village and Farmers' Markets. (More information and dates for these can be found on my Village and Farmers Markets page)
I am self taught and source the best products for my customers from suppliers who travel the world to find the highest quality coffee beans, that are roasted in the UK to perfection. Some are from single origin Estates and some are Fair Trade coffees. Others are a blend of beans, or have been flavoured using natural ingredients, or decaffeinated using non chemical processes.
I sell a choice of whole beans or ground, and I grind the coffee beans freshly on the day online orders are sent by post.
I also sell speciality loose leaf teas that are again from single Estates or are blended with teas from various countries, herbs, fruits or flowers to create wonderful tastes.
I am supported and mentored by my parents when selling at markets, fairs and with administration etc
I also sell a selection coffee beans both ground and whole, flavoured and decaffeinated, and loose leaf teas and tisanes at
